This page explains what Japanku collects when you visit and what it does with it.
Information we collect
There are no accounts, no sign-up and no forms on Japanku, so we do not ask for your name or email. Our web server keeps ordinary access logs: your IP address, browser type, the pages you open and the time.
If you save a video as a favourite, that list is stored only in your own browser (local storage). It is not sent to our server.
How we use information
Logs are used to run the site, keep it secure, fix errors and spot abuse. We do not sell your information and we do not build profiles of visitors.
Cookies
Japanku itself does not set tracking cookies and does not run analytics or advertising scripts. Third-party players embedded on a video page may set their own cookies.
Third parties
Video players, cover images and some listings come from other sites, and our catalogue data is kept with a hosted database provider. Those parties receive your IP address when your browser loads their content, and their own privacy policies apply to what they do with it.
Retention
Access logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting, then deleted.
Your choices
You can clear your favourites at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser. To ask about information in our logs, write to us.
